is every capable shinobi from every major village fighting this war?

just had a random thought in my head, are all of the villages technically defenseless from any normal threats, I mean in world war 2 there was pretty much only the elderly woman and children, the kages aren't even there to oversee the village. and based on the death toll theres gonna be a huge power shift when the wars over.

Not really, they don't have anybody worth mentioning from the other villages. The SA's only current problem is Madara and I doubt anyone from those villages could have helped.

Anybody else wonder why only the leaf char are the ones who are fighting the entire thing? I mean not a lot of people are dying (at least they aren't shown anyways) second, these are godlike ninjas, they're3 meant to be OP. Im not seeing the OPness. Except for madara swiping kakashis eye and using it like it was nothing. I also bet some ninjas actually disbanded and head home.

The Villages aren't defenceless, there was a filler about that where Konohamaru's mum beat the crap out of some Sumo Wrestlers.
Of course, if any of the other hidden villages had decided to attack the others rather than help them, they would probably have everything now.
