Dragon Ball Z game better than Naruto game? You're delusional, lol. Each character has like one combo and there's like 10 characters that all have Kamehameha as their move.
Naruto sounds like an awful free roam. I just want to reenact the fighting scenes from the canon story, no side mission BS. That's why I disliked Storm 2 for that reason. So many freakin side missions.
Each character has like one combo? You sure you were even playin the DBZ games?
Budokai Tenkaichi 3 >>> Any naruto game made so far.
Here is the problem with Naruto's fighting:
- Having a whole lot of character combos doesn't mean sh*t when in the end there is hardly any space to move around.
- Character movement doesn't even feel like a ninja's. Even the Marvel/MK/DC games are better in the movement section. Soul freaking caliber was even better in this.
- Their whole finisher crap and the attacks are horrible. I have always been against the "ultimate finisher" not even being the ultimate finisher (even for DBZ).
And reenacting the Naruto cannon is boring af. Why the hell would anyone pay just so they can play the anime, without any choices but simply doing what happened in the anime yourself. (Worst Game Of The Year Award).
Side missions expand upon the universe, but they simply aren't done right. Only in a free world game do "side missions" make any good sense are exciting. Otherwise its just eh.
Naruto has so much potential even in the fighting theme, instead of trying to copy the normal cliche Dbz style or the cliche restricted fighting style in all the fighting games. They could make it original, and atleast have the stuff stay on the field.
For example, someone creates a rock wall, the opponent should be able to climb it or jump on it. Instead of the rock wall disappearing right there and then.
