Shikamaru vs Sasuke

He is a loud-mouth, in fact, he cannot keep his mouth shut. His techniques are not subtle. I mean, who in god's name could have ever noticed that giant circle he made with sacrificial blood? Danzo and Deidara were not belching out information about how their abilities work. That is what makes Sasuke's feats better. Heck, had Kakuzu attacked, Shikamaru never would have reviewed what happened.

Look Kakashi is one of the smartest characters in the show and he letted Shikamaru make the plan. Dude part 1 Shikamaru against Temari showed better feats at tactics and analysing than Sasuke showed so far

Why am I even arguing this? Shikamaru's first intelligence stat is better than Sasuke's last one :erm:

He needs time to analyze his opponents. Sasuke does it on the spot. Let's get real here ...

I don't know which manga you are reading, but Sasuke formed a strategy right there about noticing the affects of Limbo.

And is that supposed to be that hard? Almost anyone would be capable of doing that tactic by seeing Limbo and if I recall the tactic didn't work... :|

Shiki ran away in the woods...it takes him a while to figure out all that stuff, Sasuke just does it in his head.

It wasn't much to figure out, he saw him then tried to Hit him,it didn't work so he was like this Shit don't work but Naruto Hit him and it worked. Easy, not that hard to figure out If u have eyes to see it.

I love it how you are disregarding the manga fact that Sasuke's number of strategies and speedy ones at that, far outweigh Shikamaru's. He also looked up to him and considered him amazing. Kakashi recognized Sasuke's genius as well. I am unsure what your point is.

Really depend if you mean battle smart than definitely Sasuke but if you mean overall intelligence than Shikamaru,there is no real answer to this because there is more than one type of intelligence

There's a difference between the two.

Shikamaru is a great tactician and strategist - when given time. He needs to gather variables before he can come to a plan. Sasuke, on the other hand, possess a keen battle sense that allows him to observe, analyse and formulate plans in the heat of combat. Out of the two, it would appear Sasuke is better, however, I would argue that it depends on the situation.

Shikamaru first DB stat in intelliegence: 5. Sasuke's last DB stat in intelligence: 3,5. The facts speak for themselves

Making that strategy is good but nothing special compared to what Shikamaru did against Temari

People resort to databooks here when they are out of decent arguments:

- Sasuke's genjutsu stats at Hebi level are lower than Orochimaru. Yet he owned him.
- Deidara and Sasuke match in speed stats, yet Deidara was shocked how fast Sasuke was and couldn't catch him despite upping the chakra of his bombs. Sasuke blitzed him and evaded his mobs several time to Deidara's dismay.
- Chee is a genjutsu specialist, yet got owned.
- Asuma has better stats, yet Hidan was not only dodging him and Shikamaru, but owning the former, which is why he died. Shikmaru had to step in for Hidan again, when Kakashi is a better combatant. Etc etc.

Temari is an average ninja with average intelligence. Get back to me when you have an argument. As clearly, you appear to have little or none since you are disregarding the same thing for Sasuke when you are adding it to Shika's intelligence repertoire. In manga, feats is where it is at and Sasuke's are numerous in number and far more impressive compared to Shikamaru's scarce feats that I can count on few fingers.

The DB only counts Base Stats, special powers that help in many ways will only take part in a certain stat

Dude when Sasuke does something really impressive (like what Shikamaru did against Temari and Hidan and Kakuzu) I might think about it, but well since that will never happen I don't have much to worry about :yeah:
