Was there another Ashura reincarnation b4 naruto?

Ok so this whole reincarnation thing is awesome and all to me, A lot of us thought that naruto and sasuke were reincarnations of The first and Madara, Some thought naruto was the reincarnation of The sage... But now we know for a fact its

Ashura>Hashirama>Naruto

Indra>Madara>Sasuke

Now I'm not screaming plot hole or anything, its just a head scratcher

See Madaras Death and "transmigration" time makes sense, He died right when obito became masked man, a few months later Sasuke is born. And a few months after that The nine tails attack happens.

But Hashiramas... We all know his death was never shown but it was stated he died in a battle against thousands of shinobi, similar to the 3rd raikages death. So he died MANY years b4 Madara did as far as we know. So why did it take so damn long? Do they both have to be born around the same time? Was he just waiting in reincarnation station for Indras chakra to show up? Or is there a missing link in the Ashura reincarnation line?

Probably, but at the same time not really, Theres nothing special about narutos body or vessel in particular. In fact its rather diminished compared to Sasukes. Nawaki would have been a more suitable "Vessel"

I'm assuming that Asura and Indra's reincarnations happen very close to one another. Hashirama and Madara were about the same age. I suspect Madara, outlived Hashirama for decades and eventually died after recruiting Obito, was - like Indra - older than Hashirama. When he died, Indra was then born into Sasuke, who is older than Naruto.

And thus the elder (Indra/Madara/Sasuke) and the younger brother (Ashura/Hashirama/Naruto) were born once again.

tl;dr - the elder brother will always reincarnate before the younger brother.

No. Hagoromo stated that before Naruto was Hashirama, so other than him, there was no one else in between.
