[Discussion] The sage's essence in Naruto

We know as of right now that Naruto is the reincarnation of Ashura and not the Sage, and him and sasuke are equal as Ashura and Indra were equal, but what i don't get is that in this scan we see the Sage's essence in Naruto, so what was all of this forshadowing about?

Is there something that is special about naruto? and what was all of that boy of prophecy(blue eyed boy plays with bijuus) all about?

and finally will sasuke go astray and naruto will stop him or not?

The prophecy still needs to come true, so I expect Naruto to do something epic soon. Kurama also said that Naruto will do something on his birthday. He said that he doesn't understand his power, but it feels like he can change everything, maybe he just needs time to figure out his new powers that the sage gave him. All he did since gaining power from the sage was use the bijuus' power.

Precisely this.. but In ancient times, Ashura died without achieving this due to Indra.. and ever since they are reincarnating in the later generations to take the right place of Sage.. until now.. where they exist in the form of Naruto & Sasuke..

So One of them is destined to become sage by achieving the other's power.. means one of them has to cooperate & sacrifice for the other or for the greater good.. but Indra is not ready for this.. and he wanted the power to himself... he started attacking Ashura.. who didn't give up.. and fought with the People against Indra..

Now When Naruto & Sasuke will turn into fully Ashura & Indra with the defeat of Madara.. leaving them both with potential to become a S06P.. but we donno anything about Sage's brother.. that would be the turning point.. that will favour Naruto in the end.. where he is an uzumaki.. who might a successor of sage brother..

Never was this confirmed, Kabuto used his knowledge of hashi to heal sasuke... not give him cells.

Ot: Like others have save this could mean a few things a) Naruto uniting the bijuu as the sage did b) naruto being able to surpass the sage, maybe not in power but uniting the world through ninshuu or what ever you guys can come up with.

The answer is ninshuu. Naruto has a ninshuu connection with the Bijuu just like he did with the alliance. So, no matter where the bijuu are naruto can request their help. I think that he will ultimately do the same thing with other key ninja within the alliance. IE, connect with Hashirama to perform wood rasengan or something.
