*Another lead fell flat on its face. That kid didn't help much at all, only led him to more construction work. Luke merely shakes his head as he walks towards his apartment, the street not only bustling with humans, but also with numerous spirits, a consequence of the Harmonic Convergence some time ago. Was it a year, some months... didn't matter. That kid... reminded him of his little brother, a boy named Benjamin, some eight years old. He vanished two months, eight days, seven hours, and fourteen minutes ago... he can never forget the time since his vanishing, haunted him into torment. One of the nine children kidnapped in the earth district, little Ba Sing Se as they used to call it. His mother cried the entire night, finding no sign of him in his room, his window opened with a single claw mark on the window sill.

For that matter, it was his little brother's dream to become a metal bender, to become a police officer, just like dad...*

Joshua awakes for another day in Republic City. Hes still tired and sore from yesterdays training. He regularly competes in solo pro bender tournaments. While walking around his apartment, Joshua notices Drake is nowhere to be found.

*Sigh* "Not again Drake."

Drake being the explorative type, he frequently escapes and explore republic city. Josh was fine with that though as it allowed him to explore the city often. Drakes usual spot is at the city docks so Joshua ventured there.

They came out of the underground lab and walked through the slums they had met in the day before- "don't try and track this place, I have multiple labs. Nobility? Aurora they're going to launch us into a WAR. I can usually manage with a selfish deceiving rat, i've been around them my whole life but not when they have jurisdiction over the entire city and it's welfare!". How much more of a noble cause do you want? The Avatar failed us so we're going to have to go play Avatar ourselves. Simple as that."

They headed for the central palace in the heart of the city when they heard a giant crowd gathering around Cassius' home- the Medical Academy....he started to panic. "Aurora, let's take to the rooftops- i've got an awful feeling." They raced forward, sprinting across every path and alley until they reached the main street and saw the crowds below flooding the streets. Water tribe warriors respectfully pulled out a body. A body of an old woman. Elder Yagoda had...died?

Cassius' stumbled a little....he stood there for a few seconds, mutely looked at Aurora and then instinctively dashed down to run to his mentor, hoping Aurora would follow. He pushed apart everyone in the crowd and formed a path using what little water he had, he pushed past the Water Tribesmen and laid out the body himself. "I'm a medic! Guy's it's me!" he nonsensically blubbered, trying to justify his brash decision to the guards, they recognised him but were hardly welcome to see him. He checked her pulse, tried healing her arm where the blood had infected and saw it was entirely blue. Her arm didn't have a trace of blood within it- the woman truly was dead but Cassius in his trauma didn't stop there.

"Aurora! AURORA! YOU CAN FIX THIS RIGHT?! Bring her back to life already goddamnit!" he pathetically shouted at her, "what good is your goddamn monster powers if they can't fix things?" He was having breathing problems, an asthma attack- when he went quiet and realised everybody in the crowd was now watching the 3. He staggered for breath when a tallk figure arose out of the Medical Academy building followed by an aide. Commander Rhama. He sneered at the bloodbender and the male medic, knowing who both of them were and something clicked inside Cassius' mind that sent him into an internal mad rage.
"Alright, I understand. And don't worry, if this is the right way to go about things here, I won't turn. You seem noble, truly you do. But like I said, once we succeed, you take out that damn crystal." Aurora, noticing Cassius' freak out, followed him silently, and stopped when they got to Yagoda's body. She was frozen for a moment, letting a lone tear fall from her eye, remembering all Yagoda had done for her as well. She then snapped back into reality once Cassius screeched her name. Attempting to console him there, she touched his shoulder, whispering: "I don't think now would be a good time for me to show my....capability....not with all these people, Cassius." Sending her stumbling back once he pulsed into his mad rage, even after he had a slight asthma attack, Aurora had to hold him back, forming a slight ice wall in front of Cassius, stopping him from bullheadedly charging the commander. "You've got to think this through more, Cassius. We can't assume that, you know, did, well you know what. Calm yourself for Christ sake. You need to breathe and regain your composure. This isn't the time for brash actions."

Cassius heard Aurora's words but none of them were sinking in, especially being face to face with a rat- no, a mouse like Rhama.

"Hello nurse. Dreadful incident no? Such a terrible infliction frozen fibrosis. Though, of course you'd know that...prodigy nurse and all?" he smirked...Cassius' insides froze. He didn't know that at all. In fact he had no idea what the disease she was was called or even really how to treat it. Rhama continued with his fake pleasantries but the 2 totally phased out, he spoke calmly and slyly, he was a large man with long blonde hair, a rare trait in people from the North. He looked like a lion, majestic and proud but his attitude was that of a caged animal, he was clearly restraining his true nature and ferocity in public, keeping up public appearances was more powerful than bending these days Cassius thought. Cassius shook, the crowd were still watching them. "Aurora I take it back-" he whispered, "absolutely do not use that art of yours under any circumstances, not in this city or you're...we're in trouble..." He gulped and faced back at the smiling Rhama, the proud Earthbender stood tall.

"...Indeed Commander Rhama....although. If even the second greatest medic in this city doesn't know the name of the disease...how does a esteemed military man such as yourself know?" He said equally as calm, he put his palm against the ice wall and assimilated some of the ice into small claws of his own, hiding them from view. Aurora was the only one who saw. "Seems awfully suspicious if you ask me? Perhaps we should go check on other parts of our society huh? See if Master Pakku is well?" His eyes were full of malicious intent, determined to expose him as the fraud he believed him to be...but Rhama's eyes stayed as collected as before. The public were not stupid though, the higher informed had vague idea of the situation and this situation truly was suspicious.

"Perhaps your skills aren't as good as you think they are." He bluntly brushed off, he walked past Cassius and pushed Aurora aside, leading the way for the Water Tribesmen to pick up the body again and finish their clean-up job.

"Liar." Cassius indirectly said to Aurora, and also to himself as the second-in-command prestigious Rhama walked off into the distance with his reputation intact , a suave stride and a death on his hands.
