The only part I can think of was those few frames of abhorrent animation in the Pein arc. Thankfully the whole fight wasn't like that, but I have no idea what the animators and producers were smoking while making that ep...

Edit: Actually, they used the same animation with the Kyuubi's attack on Konoha.

i went back to that fight and laughed because i thought it was a fan animation and just knew the real fight was better . . . .oh how was i wrong

the whole sasuke/itachi vs kabuto fight. i just didnt get the same feeling i did during the manga it felt like a big letdown. deva pain's face during six tails fight was messed up to they ruined the mood with that.

I firmly agree with this. The animation, was horrible, just god awful. The only good part was the flashback, which was nice, but didn't save the fight.

Also the Mist ninja massacre wasn't bad.... but i was a bit underwhelmed... but that was cuz chapter 605 is like my favorite chapter and i expected them to give their all into that scene xD

Six Tailed Naruto vs Pain. So horrible animation, the first time I saw I couldn't believe it was real. I couldn't believe a professional studio would make this. Even my little bro thought it was fan made :|. Seriously were those guys high on Kush or drugs when they made that. Another thing ruined was the Daytime Tiger looked like a bear in the anime. There are other moments. I remember seeing a picture of 3 comparisons of the same pic in diffirent mediums of Naruto media the anime, fanart color, and manga. It was red kyuubi cloak Shippuden naruto. It was like what we saw-showing manga, what we expected-showing fanart coloring what we saw-showing poorly drawn Naruto in the same scene.

Her fight had perfect animation. Her hair even looked extra shiny. Pain vs Naruto looked like a joke lol

The animation of the Naruto anime is below par compared to other Animes.

At least in regards to the Shikamaru thing, I guess the anime staff made up for it somewhat with all that was added into episode 82 to show Shikamaru reacting to Asuma's death. The mood of it was so different than what the anime normally goes for that it left an impact. But... yeah it still doesn't completely make up for it. It's better than reading Viz's translation of the manga for that though because the censorship was ridiculous when it was so obvious he was supposed to be holding a cigarette.
