Near and Melo nearly (haha) ruined the 2nd half. Light got complacent since he was basically facing children. Light should have won. I prefer the alt ending better

it's fan made. Light won and tells ryuuk to kill him, afterwards he is in the shinigami realm and wants to talk to the shinigami boss, or whatever and he goes mad crazy. search for it on youtube.

The first two times of reading the manga I stopped not longer after L's death, 3rd time I managed to finish it.

You can find the deathnote movies online. There is actually talk of an American made Deathnote movie... Btw I hated the way Light dies its so stupid it'd have really been better if his plan had worked I would've loved to see what his ideal of the new world would have been if he had won. As for Near. I really hated his character doesn't anyone know that imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery. I think Light had the right idea just the wrong way of going about it in the end and that L though. Best character ever... just hilarious.
