Curse Marks are not even close to Sage Mode. They're based on Jūgo's clan ability to naturally collective natural energy for combat purposes. It's faux senjutsu at best, amplifying ninjutsu only fraction of senjutsu can do.

Umm the spiritual energy and physical energy come from the individual.

And beside Naruto got the Sage Hermit power and Sasuke got his eye. If Sasuke would have Sage Mode thank to the hermit : it would be nonsense that Naruto gained his hermit power, because Sasuke would have all his power and not just half of his power. It have changed thanks to his sign in his hand.
