do happy endings appeal to you?

do you honestly wish some comics you read to end happily , where the main characters end up being the strongest and win,villains lose..world peace etc..?

have you ever wanted the villains emerge victorious by defeating all protagonists? or some of them actually succeed in carrying out their 'evil plans' like taking over the world or controlling everyone's mind ?

do comics that have happy ending usually have more popularity and appeal to audience compared to those that do not ?

Those are good if they fit the story. Good endings to me are ones that make sense, tie up all loose ends and fit the atmosphere and feeling of the narrative being told.

But then again if its got a good story I dont much care who wins or loses.

Show me at least 1 popular modern story (manga/book/comics/movie/etc.) which ends with the antagonist/villain completely winning and achieving his/her goals.
You'll have hard time finding such story which did become popular.
There always will be some sort of a happy ending where the story is about good vs evil. Tho, I do prefer more bittersweet kind of an ending.

well if the final antagonist doesn't get beat then to me it would feel unfinished and a waste of my time as i am reading the story as it is about the main characters journey but that doesn't mean the main protagonist couldn't die or be left distraught with the result so long as the journey is complete.

me i prefer happy endings as their is nice satisfaction i get from them

It's just human nature to want the things we watch to work out well in the end. I doubt there's more than a handful of people who exclusively seek out tragic stories.
