So yeah if it is, it would be an even more OP S-T jutsu than FTG or Kamui.

Ok in this scan, Sasuke's sword is thrown behind Naruto. You can see it on the right handside of the bottom panel.

In this scan Madara rushes towards Sasuke and Sasuke uses an eye technique.

Now in this scan we see that Madara is impaled by Sasuke's sword which was originally where Sasuke was and that Sasuke is walking back to Naruto from the same place that the sword originally was (refer to the first scan)

Yeah so that my two cents on it. I don't think its time manipulation but more swapping. We don't know the extent of his powers (whether he can swap things besides himself) but it seems pretty OP.

That was my first thought when I saw the jutsu too.

& it seems to be an instantaneous technique as madara has no idea when it even happens.

If he is just swapping with the sword, then how did it impale madara from the front? this is some high level shit

He swapped places with his sword, and Madara impaled himself on it.

Sasuke can seemingly change the position of it.

I believe he slowed down time went over to his sword and threw it at madara then let time run normally. That is the most logical way to see it rather than say he switched places with a sword and it somehow flipped it's position and was planted so that it would impale madara while it's stationary and not being thrown.
