& why didn't he use Limbo to grab Obito from behind and immobilize him & get his Rinnegan? Maybe Obito would Kamui away but that wouldn't happen if he were unaware of Limbo.

Madara really could have used Limbo to get his Rinnegan. It wouldn't be necessary to attack Obito like a Broly with it. It's basically just an unseen clone of him afterall.

Madara really could have used Limbo to get his Rinnegan. It wouldn't be necessary to attack Obito like a Broly with it. It's basically just an unseen clone of him afterall.

Like i said... the limbo ghost might not have been able to remove it properly without crushing it. It doesn't mean madara himself can't remove it properly. We don't fully know how limbo works. It doesn't necessarily need to be an exact replica of madara. It could be a rough version that's not all that precise with it's movements. Or a version of madara that has seriously upgraded speed and power; making a delicate procedure like that more risky.

If limbo restrained obito, it still doesn't stop him from phasing out himself when madara tries to touch him. If madara used limbo, limbo ghost has to instantly go for his eye and pluck it out. If it doesn't do it right, madara just destroyed his eye with the jutsu.
