"Young Generation surpasses the Old" !!??......
This comment of Kakashi is the second most mis-understood comment after Neji's destiny one,I tell you.

So here's an true meaning of that quote,by yours truly,me.

When kakashi said this,he didn't meant it individually but collectively. Young generation as a whole always surpasses the old in terms of some quality. It's not necessarily have to be strength only. It can mean that they surpass them by correcting their mistakes.
If you look at it in terms of our real world,it fits perfectly. We as a collective entity are surpassing our ancestors. Now to say that every individual had surpassed the old generation will be like saying I've surpassed Albert Einstein in terms of intelligence,Leo'nardo da vinci in terms of genius,Ashoka the great in terms of strength, etc. I think you get my point.

Well I hope I have cleared yet again another mis-understanding.

Reincarnation Mechanism
Well a lot of people are basically confused with the reincarnation thing in latest chapters. While the manga did gave the answer, people stil find it difficult to grasp them. So here's an explanation.

First I would like to thank Sir Derp Obito for his theory of Soul Dualism [ ] So if you haven't read it do so before reading my explanation.

So,as we all know Kishimoto likes to incorporate things from various religious beliefs, mainly Shinto,Buddhism and partially Hinduism, etc. Well now if you have read Derp's theory I want you to focus on this part of the theory-

We know that in Taoism, there is the cosmic duality of Yin and Yang.

This duality is also applicable to the soul: it is called Hun (魂) and Po (魄)

The Hun (Yang Soul) is the spiritual part which departs from the body after death

And the Po (Yin Soul) is the soul which remains with the corpse of the deceased

Now the red and blue quotes in our essential key points. It explains how Edo-Tensei and Reincarnation co-exists in NV. The souls\chakra of Ashura and Indra are the Hun[yang part] of Hashirama,Madara,Naruto and Sasuke. While the Po[Yin soul] is the current individual soul of these 4 which determines their individuality and actions.

This also explains how can all 4 of them are in the impure world together. Because when Hashirama and Madara died, their yang soul[ashura and indra] left them while their yin soul, dominant soul [ they themself] remained. Thus Rinne-tensei and Edo tensei worked as it brought their yin soul back.

Well that's it.

Hope it helped.

No, but I believe he is an intelligent shinobi who knows the techniques of his predecessors and can likely think of reasonable counters to them. He is not Hokage for no reason. I don't believe he could defeat Madara, and would struggle against powerful shinobi who he has know knowledge of. You are completely avoiding my argument. Intelligence is what makes each succeeding generation stronger, which is why shinobi who are older, or who have died and been reincarnated often compliment the younger generation's abilities precisely because they are the ones who taught and sparred against these youths, handing down jutsu for them to improve upon.

Naruto has passed down rasengan to Konohamaru, still konohamaru is much weaker than 7 year old kakashi. And nobody in Naruto's generation is as smart as Kakashi except shikamaru (who can't fight well in war by himself). Sasuke has good analytical mind but his reasoning is very poor unlike Itachi, so sasuke is not a good candidate for kage.

Again, what I'm arguing is not about raw power of shinobis but their intelligence and knowledge. Konohamaru with the rasengan alone defeated one of the paths of Pain because he had heard from Naruto what its abilities were. Shikamaru has knowledge and intelligence on par with Kakashi, and in reality, if we are comparing him to anyone it should be his father. Sasuke has shown that he has learned from his brother in terms of knowledge, as well as empathy, something Itachi is renowned for as he had the unfortunate consequence to make a choice between the lesser of two evils causing him to murder his family for the greater good of the village. All I am arguing is that it is not about power, it's about knowledge that succeeding generations gain from their forefathers which makes them surpass them. If you've read Foucault, "knowledge is power".

I am agreeing with you, it's not all about power. The statement made in the manga was how each generation "surpasses the previous one". Surpassing does not inherently mean more powerful, they are more knowledgeable in terms of jutsu creativity, politics and humanity.

Thanks for your comment...Naruto manga doesn't clear up every statement and there are still plenty of other statements (specially regarding hiruzen) which have been left unanswered. So it's not easy to understand what's implied by a statement
