Do Christians believe the world is only 6-7k years old?

I didnt say they are dumb because they belong to a certain group, but because what they believe in is nonsense. If you cant interpret my post in a proper way, you are ignorant.

As far as I know, mostly creationists think that the earth is only a few thousand yrs old and they are dumb

Being a creationist means you believe in the religious creation theory. You said creationists are dumb. I don't see how anyone could interpret that differently. Calling somebody dumb for what they believe in is ignorant. It may be nonsense to you but it is not to them and that's why they believe it.

I'm a Christian and I believe that the world and our universe was created way before this. I believe that the 7 "days" that God took to create the Earth and populate it were in fact metaphors for millions/billions of years. This would also allow time for evolution and dinosaurs and things like that.

Maybe the 7 days of creation represent the 7 chakras. It's the same with the original christian prayer of 7 lines.

Anywho, I grew up in a christian household and I never heard a christian talk about the exact date the earth was created.

Math and time are ways of quantifying natural phenomenon such as things that are observable in the universe. The principles of math are simply ways of describing what we can observe as quantifiable data. Time is what humans have applied to the concept of an infinite timeline, to describe the flow of change that occurs and interacts with what is observable.

In theory both math and time "existed" before humans learned to label them.

He's asking which one of you two is more ignorant, the one with "hope and love" or the one without it, with him apparently being the one with hope and love. That's quite an assumption though, I'm pretty sure atheists can have love and hope too
