True, But he did suffer some damage. i'm guessing if it weren't for his edo tensei regeneration. He'd be screwed.

OT. It's pretty damn op. It's a potential one shot tech to anyone without a strong defense or great speed/reflexes.

True but Naruto did used Sage Mode when he was using this technique. He used KCM .
