Here, you can see a panel where he takes off and Kakashi is startled about what he's seeing with Naruto's drastic change.

People say he just jump but as you see in that little panel he took off. He jump but he took off. As if it was like when Madara took off flying, it's depicted the same way as shown in that little segment of Naruto.

Here's Madara Flying:

If you compare the two, they both have the same illustration and they both look identical. xd

The black orbs have nothing to do with the flight. They also had the Rinnegan, which allows one to control gravity and "fly", hence why Pein could fly.

Pein flew using the Rinnegan. The Rinnegan allows you to control gravity, which is how they fly.

Obito wasn't flying when he had the Rinnegan though... He started flying and levitating as soon as he became the Juubi Jinchuuriki.

That doesn't mean anything. He just chose not to fly when he wasn't the Jinchuriki, for whatever reason.

he was defo jumping, my brother. its normal as a ninja if they jump high or far but its not flying.
