Alright, so many of you may think that this is rather obvious and doesn't need stating, but cut me some slack since I'm sure there are people who haven't made the connection.
So, in the latest chapter we saw Naruto's new Rikudou Mode:
As we can see, the chakra cloak is very similar to what he had when he was in Kyuubi Chakra Mode:
Now, when the Sage first appeared, he told us about the battle between Ashura and Indra. Ashura had a similar chakra cloak when we saw that panel of him fighting Indra. His chakra cloak, however, was more humanoid, and had multiple arms, each wielding a Gudou Dama:
Now, it has also been stated in the manga that to master senjutsu, one requires great bodily power:
Now, way back we were already told that while Indra inherited the eyes of the Sage, Ashura inherited the body of the Sage. Senjutsu training, as demonstrated by Naruto, is very difficult, and to achieve it, let alone be able to use it in battle, requires a lot of time and dedication. This is most likely what the Sage meant when he said that Ashura had to work hard to become his brother's equal.
Indra was born with genius, and unlocked his Sharingan, his ocular powers. Ashura, who was talentless, but was born with large chakra reserves, trained and achieved his father's senjutsu.
There you have it. Thanks for reading.
