I know it's a bit too late to make this thread... but what was your favourite episode last year?
To those who have forgotten, 2013 started with episode 295 (the last episode of the Chikara filler arc) and ended in episode 343 (the episode that revealed the identity of the masked man).
To many, 2013 was a pretty good year for Naruto-anime fans. The 18 consecutive fillers that we had at the early-mid stage of the year was very irritating to the majority of fans. However, some of the war fillers won praise as it was greatly written and entertaining. Though, the rest was absolute garbage like the Yota filler arc.
However, the animators did compensate (or try to) for this by making some well-made canon episodes after the long run of fillers. Here are a few examples:
- episode 322 "Madara Uchiha" (dat rape; warning viewers must be 18+ in age)
- episode 329 "Two-Man Team" (dat partnership between Naruto & Kurama)
- episode 334 "Sibling Tag Team" (dat reunion between the two Uchiha bros; dat DSM)
- episode 336 "Kabuto Yakushi" (dem feels for Kabuto)
- episode 339 "I Will Love You Always" (dem feels for Itachi and dat PS)
- episode 342 "The Secret of the Transportation Technique" (dat excellent display of teamwork between Naruto, Bee, Gai & Kakashi)
All of the listed episodes above had at least great animation. So what is your favourite 2013 Naruto Shippuden episode?
For me, it was a very tough decision to make... but I will have to go with the "Madara Uchiha" episode simply because it was action-packed. Everything was so intense and "war-like". The superb animation and the perfect choice of OSTs enhanced these feelings. Really, the only thing you can hate about that episode is the poor artwork.
