That seal was a weak seal and since Naruto has the Kyubi as backup, then he could easily break out. Sakura escaping from Gaara's clutches is laughable considering that Kimimaro couldn't even break out. Ay's kick and Sasuke's Enton was also blocked by Gaara's sand defenses, which is completely a step up from Sakura.
