The Sage himself just two or three chapters ago said that Kaguya's eye was a Sharingan. He stated that she used it to control people's minds, basically the Juubi's eye is the Sharingan.



Go back to the Sage's talk about his mother, the Doujutsu that casts infinite Tsukuyomi is a Sharingan, that's why its called Tskuyomi which is a Sharingan Jutsu.

Kaguya could control people's minds with the Sharingan.

No he didn't.

He called what Kaguya had a Sharingan, he never said what he was giving Sasuke was an advanced Sharingan. He also said he was giving Sasuke half of his power, maybe you don't realize this but the Sage doesn't have a Sharingan.

Kaguya's Sharingan was only different because it was all focused on one eye and her base abilities are far beyond anyone else in the manga.

The Sage gave Sasuke the Rinnegan and mixed it with his Sharingan.

Sasuke already had a Sharingan, why would the Sage give him something he already has, the multiple rings and extra tomoe on Kaguya's Sharingan were the result of only having one, its only stronger because she herself is stronger.

Where did you get explanation from? The rest is speculation. The sage knows more, so his statements hold. Not Madara's.
