I feel like we kind of flew into the war arc too soon. I would have liked to see a lighter Arc in-between the 5 kage summit and the pain arc.

A Konoha reconstruction arc or something like that.

I also don't like the flashbacks he gives that don't live up to what's happening now, kind of like Gai's flashback.

Yeah Kishi pacing is kinda of bad at times, somethings pass too quickly others drag on too long.

fOr sure, there should have been like an arc in between where like all the k11 went on a mission together

That is one of my few complaints is the pacing. For instance having everything happen in one night, I would rather have seen it over a period of time.

For instance a break in between the battle with Obito and the battle with Madara.

Konoha reconstruction arc??? Thats what fillers are for xD Could you imagine the amount of people that would have dropped the manga had naruto been stuck in the leaf rebuilding shit for even 20 chapters.... thats half a year, arcs are more than 20 chapters.... and if you don't get the point of Gais flashback during his fight with madara i can't see how you can call yourself a fan... And what that flashback signified for his character.

Back when it was the first flashback he barely took his dad seriously and questioned why he always did that "Thanks for cheering me on" Then we the reader learned of Dais death and how it impacted Guy to be more like his Father which is why he's so goofy lmao, so when Guys very first words to kakashi that started their eternal comical rivalry were "thanks for cheering me on" it makes Dais character more significant, and Sakumo noticing the dirt and bruises on guys fists and feet and clothes, he told Kakashi that he's already on his way to surpassing him. Because he's been working hard. Which is exactly what Naruto told sasuke about bushy brows, after he noticed his hands and feet.

So when kakashi thinks to himself you're right dad, its goes way back to that age old question that Rock lee brought up. Between 2 rivals which one will eventually surpass the other? The Naturally talented genius or the one who works for all he has and strives to never give up?

Then Guy opens the eigth gate.....

And kicks madaras lungs out.

You'll appreciate it more in the anime, if the animations u to par :)

I think he bit off too much to chew in the war arc, because he couldn't focus on every event. However, once he trimmed it down to three main conflicts Itachi and Sasuke vs Kabuto, Naruto and Bee vs Obito, and Madara vs the Kages it really got on track.

Kishi pacing too fast is MUCH better than kishi putting fodder characters in the way to buy time.

I like this pace.

Oh, I fully understand Gai's flashback, I just don't think it goes well with what was happening. Kakashi's flashback with his father and Dai made it a lot better.

I also didn't literally mean a arc with him in the village. Just a arc that takes place as the village is being rebuilt. Naruto travels on a mission or something that fleshes the world out.

No to kishi's pacing being good or bad?

or no to that half hearted example of an arc to go in between the pain arc and the 5 kage summit arc.

If you wrote Naruto, I'd drop it like a deuce in the toilet.

I actually get this grand finale feeling from the manga lately. So I think the pacing is actually pretty good.

And yes, you are supposed to read it in volumes, not in this 17 pages per week format.

I do think that the Summit could have gone differently, with Danzo not running away once Sasuke showed up (that reaction made no sense really), and then more things happening before he died.
