Sasuke's One Rinnengan Mystery Solved

Some people have been wondering why Sasuke only had the Rinnegan in one eye last chapter, (yes I did too), then I remembered something from earlier in the manga that explains it.

When Madara first appeared he only showed his Sharingan and then when Naruto threw the Rasen Shuriken at him he turned on his Rinnegan to absorb it.

Both of Sasuke's eyes are Sharingan and both are Rinnegan, he is simply using both at the same time, so he can use both Doujutsus abilities.

He most likely could have both eyes as Sharingan or both as Rinnegan if he wanted.

Really I am outright stunned that I didn't realize this when I read the chapter.

well think about it...only madara could unlock the rennigan right? and of course the sage but look.....sasuke was the mothers 3rd eye and madara and obtio have only one rennigan also so maybe this is they way its suppose to be...juubi and the mother only had one eye so of course sasuke is only gunna have something we seen in only one quantity in one eye...understand a lil better now?

I seriously doubt that, the Sage gave Sasuke half of HIS power not his mother's power.

The Sage actually said that his mother had a Sharingan, and oddly enough all Uchiha have two Sharingans. So clearly it isn't a quantity issue.

i believe that along with the moon on his hand he received the rinnegan from the sage aswell .. i believe the rinnegan merged with his ownn power creating a unique version of the doujutsu which could of been thanks to the moon on his hand why they merged..

if u notice both the sharinnegan and his moon are on the same sides - his dominant side

Madara either had the Sharingan active in both eyes, or the Rinnegan active in both eyes. He never only had Rinnegan or Sharingan in just one eye, unlike Sasuke, who only has the Rinnegan in his left eye. So its not the same. Dojutsu users have never had the ability to have one Dojutsu active in one eye and another active in the other eye.

however look back at what kidgamer said.. its unlikely that sasuke has it in both eyes and no one has ever been shown to be able to only change 1 eye they have always been active as a pair

It was never said that they couldn't the only case of someone having two doujutsu is Madara.

Kishi may have only decided to do this recently, for the same reason Obito used both his Sharingan and only one of Madara's Rinnegans rather than both.

I would also like to point out that as Naruto showed in this recent chapter Naruto and Sasuke can use the powers in ways that Madara can't.

Its possible that the ability to use both at the same time is unique to Sasuke, it was said he would surpass Madara.

18k posts and u fail at this? Sasuke's is different because the sage states he did wrong by giving Ashura(whatever his name is) power and not Indra, so this ability is granted from the sage. To break the bond of hatred, the sage is rewriting his wrong with the previous generation of Ashura & Indra(Hashirama & Madara) when he gave only Hashirama power and instead he's giving both Sasuke & Naruto powers

no one has ever been shown gaining power from the sage either, Madara got left out which is why the sage decided to give Sasuke more power so things are balanced

I really wish people would actually read the manga, Kaguya's third eye was a Sharingan, the Sage openly said so.

1. I already knew every thing you just posted.

2. Your post doesn't even begin to explain why Sasuke has it in only one eye. Yeah, we know he got this power from Rikudo, but do we know exactly why the Rinnegan only appears in his left eye and not both eyes? No.

wow... I never really thought about that, thanks. This makes more sense now.
Just like Naruto is combining sage mode + rikudou mode together, sasuke is equally combining sharingan + rinnegan abilities together... seems plausible, but I would like to think that sasuke's left eye could retain both abilities though.
