Sasuke is always in the corner of my mind. Naruto and Sasuke progress as a pair. So when I write about Naruto, I always have to think about Sasuke. They are on opposite sides of the spectrum, like yin and yang.

You forgot one thing. He wanted to beat him, because Sasuke would not voluntary come back. And this saving case I hated it, because Sasuke tried to kill him. It is stupid to consider him as friend. I mean when he met him after 2 1/2 years with Sai, Sakura and Yamato. When Orochimaru did not inferred he would be dead a long time ago.
