Orochimaru isn't all that great?

I don't feel like Orochimaru is all that great in terms of strength or much of a genius. If you see closely all his plans end up failing:

Supposed to be a genius -> Get owned by Itachi genjutsu

Tried to crush Konoha -> Loses his arms and his invasion failed

Trained Sasuke so he could have an strong Uchiha body -> Sasuke took advantage of Oro and owned him

Finally saw a chance to take over Itachi's frail and exhausted body -> Gets pwned neg diff with Totsuka blad

Summons the Hokages making him hax -> The Hokages break free




NOTE: This is not a bash i still think Orochimaru was a great villian, I just don't know why so many people put Oro in their top 10s.

Nope, he is a fodder and don't deserve to be the final villain. IMO, even kaguya is better than him.

The hokages didn't break free. A hokage broke free that was hashirama. 2nd 3rd n 4th are under orochimaru control. But everything else I agree. Orochimaru is nothing to the uchihas.

and madara wouldn't have been revived and naruto would have been dead cuz ... no minato no yin kurama no revival or power ups.
and everyone would have been dead by now cuz of juubito.

He easily the most powerful characters in the series simply because he can summon all 4 previous Hokage to fight with him. Besides some crazy super power up kishi has given his sons, no one can defeat Orochimaru.

Itachi is a prodigy from the uchha clan whose kkg is the sharingan which specializes in genjustu lol

Oro isnt weak there was set backs due to plot devices

It's the reverse. If 4 tailed Naruto went all out, he would have been desintegrated.

Orochimaru was REALLY sick and had sealed arms. You're a complete fail troll; if you read the manga (and it's even mentioned in the Anime), you'd know that Sasuke admitted that the only reason he defeated Orochimaru was because he was very sick and about to die, and aside from all that, he had his arms sealed.
