My bad. I didn't remember this^^^. Maybe pain was able to do it because he has a better grasp of the rinnegans powers. Madara and obito on the other hand showed levitation and flight only after becoming jinchurikis

OP that's not deva path flying, when using shrina tensei in the air you remain suspended until the Justu end.

Because before and after the fight he was never seen in the air again, even when running from the six tails.
