Dying changes your perspective on life.

That's a very empty thing to say...

Gaara was the same way before dying and after his fight with Naruto. Besides, coming close to death/dying doesn't trigger that kind of change.

He didn't take anything for granted either before dying, as it was clear where he was in that regard.

No it wasnt, Gaara wasnt sure how the village felt towards him and became more open with his feelings when he saw the village came for him, also when Naruto was leaving, he shook his hand and said some stuff I dont remember.

Who cares?

What the hell does that have to do with the situation now?

"So..........you become a fanboy because of it?"

Was responding to that. But to answer your second question, nothing, but Gaara saying that probably took like 5 seconds and didn't lower the chances of the alliance losing the war whatsoever

Not knowing how they felt doesn't tie in with taking them for granted. Gaara saw the village as something precious that he wanted to protect before his death and pushed himself to his absolute limit to do so.

Finding out the feelings were reciprocated was just the icing on the cake.

No thats the point of not taking things for granted, he was more open than keeping quiet.

That's the problem with Mangapanda. They don't translate accurately because they're trying to publish the scans early. This practically what caused the whole Shinobi Alliance Jutsu commotion back then. MS is more accurate, but too westernized in a way.

In MS: He asked to have a drink of sake in summary.

I remember when MP translated Naruto as using a new super powerful Fuuton that turned out to be Rasenshuriken. Lol

Or maybe he just became a friend that recognizes Naruto's potential. If anything keeping him evil would make him an emo brat, he had his time being evil and we had to move on to bigger more relevant villains like Orochimaru and the Akatsuki

Yeah. That really was. Some were like Naruto finally got a new jutsu and stuff. Until MS came out.

He was my fave on par with Lee before his jizz over Naruto.

People who know me around here would know how much he was he favoured by me in this comparasion.

Now he is a fanboy no ifs or buts i don't see Naruto wanking Iruka or Lee fanboying Gai this much appearantly there can be a limit to fanboying the person who acknowledged you first.

His fight with Lee was also the best in part 1

RIP this guy, even his theme was badass
He had potential to be one of the most badass villains

Yea it was necessary, cry somewhere else.

Gaara shows humour...part of his character progression. Gaara has been fighting like a BOSS for a long time in this war and saved the Kage many times and defeated some of the past Kage(not by himself). Gaara is badass and has a good side, get over it.
Fighting alongside Shukaku against Madara and trying to save Shukaku and Naruto...yeah, he's not badass...GTFO

It's not cheasy, what Gaara said was a revision from “if you want to become hokage” (chapter 474-475; and also a reference to the short scene in 553 when naruto tells gaara to stop looking down on him) to “when you become hokage” that is the actual point. basically saying “i believe in you and i’m looking forward to when this is over and i have enough faith in you to make the assumption that we’re both going to get out of this alive” but in less words (that’s why it took naruto a second to register the weight of what he really meant)

I would also remind anyone who is confused about gaara's lack of aggression. He changed his fighting style from one which favoured killing and aggression to one which defended himself and others, while also developing techniques to incapacitate others, instead of killing. More useful in terms of intel gathering and preserving life.
