Should he not be able to do a plain rasengan with one hand (in base mode)? I hope he shows it sometime near the end of the battle. I'm flipping over a F***ing table if he can't.

I believe he was in sage mode then, so I don't count it.

he can, if use whe he found out to attack juubi jin wih senjutsu against obito. he managed to make rasengan with one hand. so why not now?

Obviously, the rasenshuriken is a extension of the rasengan.

In order to create a rasenshuriken you first have to create a rasengan and then add wind to it.
