Something I don't understand about rinnegan.

Rinnegan was said that one of the paths can absorb ninjutsu.

Naruto vs The paths of pain (nagato) and a SAGE mode naruto used a rasenshuriken on him and he absorbed it, since he was in sage mode shouldn't that have worked on him?

Yet Juubito and Juubi Madara both had the rinnegan, but can't absorb attacks used in sage mode?

Just a little confused. It might have been clarified before but I forgot.

in all honesty i think kishi is limiting the rinnegan's power.. since he probally doesnt know how to combat it properly

if madara and obito could just constantly absorb the jutsu's it wouldnt make for a very interesting fight would it

there could also be the fact that they dont want to absorb something with natural energy in it since they dont no how to balance it and could potentially be there downfall..

It could be PLOT or Madara needs both eyes to use that particular ability.

So far we've seen the Rinnegan absorb very powerful ninjutsu (Ohnoki's Jinton)
We've seen it absorb normal level Sage jutsu (Naruto's normal FRS)
But we've never seen it be able to absorb a massive scale Sage jutusu such as COFRS or YRS.

So perhaps there is a limit to how powerful/large scale attack the Preta path can absorb when infused with Nature energy.

??? wait what??? i perfectly remember naruto was about to catch madara with a rasen shiruken , madara said too much and turned ems into rinni and absorbed it. and guess what he had 2 rinni eyes not one, so i think you need both to unlock all paths
