Naruto saving Gai's life does not guarantee him being in physical conditions to become a ninja.

I think Gai Will have a chance to live, but he will be crippled for the rest of his life. Then Lee says "that's not what he would want" and kill Gai (or stop the process).

That's sort of similar to how Gai told Lee to take the surgery with a risk of death.

What would you think if that happens?

After Naruto watched Neji die (and he had just said he would't let anyone die) he vowed again to not let that happen so the sage granted him the powers to do so, that's why I think he arrived in time to save him.

I doubt Lee will kill him unless he flashbacks to Guy asking that of him.

I kind of find it fitting. Guy sacrificed his youth for the lives of his loved ones and now Lee will start to bloom.

I can see Guy trying to do one finger push-ups with a body cast with Lee cheering him on and Sakura and Tsunade ready to strap him down to a bed so he can heal. Lol
