Dai was fodder or 8 gates over hyped

Dai used 8 gates on 7 swordsman. As people think the last gate is op and solos everybody but maybe minato and obito with kamui. So with that dai would have solo'd them but it is a fact that adleast one of the survived. How?

because kisame later killed him to gain samehada, proving that one if not more survived

So this would mean that Dai is fodder because he A) didnt know any techs under 8 gates or B) sucked with 8 gates.(based on what guy did there shouldnt even be a seven swordsman anymore after dai went 8 gates).

Now i know some could say that the 7 swordsman were strong and could have survived from skill but we've seen them in action. Their barely high jonin level while 8 gates makes you equal to or above kage level. So that means Dai even with 8 gates is fodder? Or are people over hyping 8 gate guys fight with madara?

Unless you want to argue that dai never went 8 gates and that 1-7 gates isnt as strong as we assumed it to be either

Fodder? I'm sorry but that ridiculous, Evening elephant is a 5 hit combo and only 2 of those swordsman have been shown alive at another point (if you count the filler) Do some basic math before undermining a powerhouse.

Dunno about that, Lee have shown awareness of his surroundings above Gai so he might negate this possible downfall in future.
Most people are too slow to hide from it anyway.

as someone previously said evening elephant could be a tech personal to guy himself and not to all 8 gate users. And doing basic math they all would be dead if dai was a powerhouse in 8 gates

Gates multiply your power, it was stated in the manga. So, the higher the base power of the character, the more power the gates give you. Used on a weak char, it won't make much difference (after all, it wasn't confirmed that Dai even killed one of the swordsman), used on one of the strongest base shinobi, well ... you get to warp space.

it all depends on the user.. the stronger the user is the more powerful he will be in 8 gates..

also the techs you have when using the gates might be gais personal thing.. not everyone might not know the techs..

it comes down to the idividuals taijutsu

The gates only give you power. They do not give you techniques. So lee useing gates, haveing never seen or tried any of gais gates techniques, cannot just do them.

A fodder useing the 8th gate becomes a top tier character.
A top tier character useing 8th gate becomes a god.(assumeing both are taijutsu specialists)

Just think of gates like steriods.

If you give a wimpy guy who can barely lift 50 pounds steriods, that triple his power, then you get someone who is decent at lifting.
If you give a buff guy, who can lift 150 pounds steriods that triple his power, then you get someone who can lift 450 pounds.

Both got the same steriod. But due to their state at the time, they had different results.
