Dai was fodder or 8 gates over hyped

Dai used 8 gates on 7 swordsman. As people think the last gate is op and solos everybody but maybe minato and obito with kamui. So with that dai would have solo'd them but it is a fact that adleast one of the survived. How?

because kisame later killed him to gain samehada, proving that one if not more survived

So this would mean that Dai is fodder because he A) didnt know any techs under 8 gates or B) sucked with 8 gates.(based on what guy did there shouldnt even be a seven swordsman anymore after dai went 8 gates).

Now i know some could say that the 7 swordsman were strong and could have survived from skill but we've seen them in action. Their barely high jonin level while 8 gates makes you equal to or above kage level. So that means Dai even with 8 gates is fodder? Or are people over hyping 8 gate guys fight with madara?

Unless you want to argue that dai never went 8 gates and that 1-7 gates isnt as strong as we assumed it to be either

ofc he was a fodder he was 47 years old and a genin and knew only gates

8 gates doesn't make u auto-strong as gai. if lee do 8 gates right now (which he cant cuz hes not as good as gai) he would not be 1/3 as strong as gai because gai is a beast. gai base > most base ninja. so his power up form will be > than other power up form.

it ONLY gives you a times your power, odds are his base was super weak..

Think of it like this: Dai was a 2 and Guy was a 20

2x100 = 200
20x100 = 2,000

Dai was a weak ninja, his 8 Gates mode was only strong enough to hold back the 7 Swordsmen and possible kill a few of them. Since Guy is much stronger than his dad was (elite jonin of Konoha, really powerful base form as opposed to a genin) he gained more power, and could achieve more.

it all depends on the user.. the stronger the user is the more powerful he will be in 8 gates..

also the techs you have when using the gates might be gais personal thing.. not everyone might not know the techs..

it comes down to the idividuals taijutsu

Dai was a genin. He was probably as strong as konohamaru....

but that doesnt mean 8th gate was weak. Maybe shot up to jonin level thanks to th last gate... but still not good enough to kill all of them. i doubt any even died as they should be good combo fighters.

Guy, on the other hand is freakishly strong. Remember the konoha invasion arc by oro? he didnt use his gates but beat the crap out of many shinobi.

8th gate makes you 100X as powerful as you were originally. Dai was an eternal genin. And no, this was not only due to him only being able to use taijutsu. Guy only uses taijutsu as well(bar summoning), yet he's a jonin. So, this communicates that Dai was far inferior to Guy. A multiplier increases a gap between 2 people, so 8th gated Guy>>>>>>>>>>8th gated Dai.

I don't believe the gate is overhyped....it is this amazing talent but comes at a great cost....kind of like Chiyo's healing technique.
