Hokage and Co-Hokage?

:eww: I always wonder why isn't there a Co-Hokage in the NarutoVerse? I mean if the Hokage dies the Co-Hokage can take over. Like for example President and Vice President. We have a Vice president for a reason and that reason is encase the President so happens to die the Vice president can take over. This is what I don't get and I am not speaking Politically but more common sense wise. Like there wouldn't even be a need for Elders or Feudal Lords. To me Elders and Feudal Lords are worthless when it comes to wars. Even if the Feudal Lords are rich and owned the land or the Elders being a part of history no matter what it is they seem to be worthless to me.

Example:
Like Hokage can Be Naruto and Co-Hokage can be Sasuke but that'll probably will keep the cycle of hatred because Envy would come out of that. This is just a guess.

What you guys think? xd

Note: If they did this there wouldn't be rush for a new Hokage or the Village wouldn't need to be in Panic.

Yup, it makes a lot of sense. Even if it's a old or still on going tradition in Japan or anywhere else.
