How is this proof of his weaknesses? He was still able to fully control all of the Bijuu's at one time, something Madara was never able to do. Not to mention that as far as we know, Madara is only able to control one beast at the time, while Hashi is able to control several at any given time.

But he did kill Madara in the end, wether he survived that wasn't for Hashirama to know. For all intents and purposes Hashi thought he just killed his best friend. That takes a lot of courage to do.
