People are going overboard with the Madara bash (as far the fight with Guy goes).

You people do realize that Madara did technically defeat Guy right? Take this into consideration:

1. When the fight first started, Guy went into the 7th gate. Madara damaged Guy and forced him to go into the 8th gate. This fact alone already made it so that Madara either won or it would be a draw.


2. When Guy went into the 8th gate and used the night elephant, the black balls were about to hit Guy. Minato had to warp them away or else Guy would have been killed right there. Kakashi also had to warp a hole in Madara's black shield or else Guy would have run straight into it and possibly have died from it. This technically means that Madara had Guy defeated in these instances and that Guy had to be saved.


3. After Guy used Night Guy (or Night moth in some translations), Madara was still alive and regenerating while Guy was on the brink of death. Madara was then even able to shoot a black ball at Guy which would have killed him if it was not for Naruto. Therefore once again, Madara gets the kill point in this instance.


All of this evidence conclusively proves that Madara did in fact defeat Might Guy. Yes he got injured, but he still won the fight.

Therefore Guy goes into the long list of people that Madara has defeated in this war and arc along with:

Tsunade
Gaara
Ay
Onoki
Mei
Hashirama
Naruto
Bee
Kurama
Gyuki
Chomei
Saiken
Kokuo
Son Goku
Isobu
Matatabi
Shukaku
Tobirama
Sasuke
and last but not least
Minato

I made this thread and added this list because lately people have been saying that Madara has been declining in quality and skill.
I wanted to remind you all that Madara did in fact defeat Guy and Guy is also really the only opponent of this arc that he has really been challenged by. It is unwarranted to start bashing and saying that a guy is declining after just one tough battle that he won in the end anyway.

Furthermore, what did you expect? It was obvious that the 8 gates were going to do a large amount of damage. What kind of writer would hype up something like the 8 gates for so many years just to have them do nothing? You people acted like it was expected for Madara not to take damage.


Conclusion: Madara is doing just fine. He defeated Guy and everyone else thus far. It was necessary for the sake of sensible writing for him to take as much damage as he did.

Agreed.....though I feel everyone is entitled to their opinion..... I feel Madara is doing better than I expected... so I'm fine. ^_^ Also I feel some forget that Madara was fighting not just Gai, but Gai, Kakashi, Lee, Minato, Gaara, and Naruto. So it was 6 vs 1. Even then Madara was still able to give Gai a finishing blow after Gais most powerful attack. Also....in case some didn't notice Madaras body is so tough that Gai actually broke his entire leg kicking Madara. ^_^

Who is to say that Guy could have reached Guy's head. Remember, Guy was in mid air, so trajectory has a factor in where Guy hits. It is therefore Guy's fault for not jumping high enough to get trajectory towards Madara's head. Plus, you could also say that it was plot for Minato to warp the balls away (which would have killed Guy). This happened long before Guy used Night Guy too, so that is Madara's win. You could also call it plot that Madara simply stuck to using the black substance and didn't use anything else like bijuudama, chakara arms, susanoo, rinnegan, etc... Face it: Calling the plot card is just a pathetic excuse. Madara won fair and square.

Madara worked, suffered and fought for all of his power. He awakened his sharingan and got it all the way to mangekyou by fighting and training. He had to suffer the loss of his brother to get EMS. He had to fight a death battle with Hashirama to get rinnegan and mokuton. He had to defeat Hashirama, Tobirama, Naruto, Sasuke, Bee, Gaara and all 9 of the bijuus before he could get juubi. Therefore Madara earned all of his power. Things that you earn are rightfully yours. Madara is epic! Guy on the other hand had to kill himself to even compete and he still lost anyway!

People overuse the term "God". Madara is very powerful, but he is not invincible. Therefore he is not a God. Therefore a man defeated a man.

I never saw any Madara> your fave posts (although to be fair Madara has defeated a lot of favorites). The difference between a Madara fan and a Sasuke fan is this: Madara has the list of victories and accomplishments to back up the level of praise that he receives. Just look at that list in the OP. Even in that list I omitted some people like the 2nd tuschikage Muu and the 4th division of the alliance.

Meanwhile, some of those Sasuke fans exxagerate Sasuke's power and just fabricate feats that didn't even happen. Examples:

They say Sasuke soloed the God tree. All he did was cut one branch. Even fodders did that and the branches regenerate.

They say Sasuke soloed juubi Obito and they give him the credit for single handedly breaking the nunoboku sword with his "sword of solo kings" as they call it. They seem to forget however that his "sword of solo kings" would have been negated if it wasn't for Naruto's senjutsu chakara. They also forget that it was Naruto's rasengans that broke Obito's shield and it was the bijuu chakara that was possessed by Naruto that was used to pull out the bijuus.

They say that Sasuke is stronger than Hagoromo. We can all tell what is wrong with that statement.

The list goes on and on with how much fabricated crap these Sasuke fans spout.

That is the difference between a Madara fan and an obsessed Sasuke fan. Madara fans state actual manga facts while Sasuke fans spout fallacy and crap.

Therefore no Madara bash is warranted.
