So can Hiruzen manage to manipulate all chakra elements? I was surfing around the net and found sites saying he can do. So how did he manage to? Or am I'm misguided ?

We say him use all the elements against spiral zetsu, so I would say it's safe to assum that he can manipulate all 5.

So that's probably what other people meant. Kakashi told Naruto that when Shinobi's reach a high jounin level they might be able to learn other elemental jutsu's apart from their natural affiliation. Just shows how awesome the third was

But the thing is. Why was that never mentioned as he was alive? Like. He died against Orochimaru despite handeling all elements? Thats just the kind of stuff I was asking myself^^

That's because his chakra reserves weren't as much as they were in his prime or he would have wrecked orochimaru

It's why he got his title "Professor". Ofc barely anyone believed the hype untill he pulled out all of the elements


As for why he never used any.
Many reasons.
For one his chakra levels was extrememly low compared to his prime as stated. He didn't have the luxury of using so many jutsu
Also, he tested the edos and saw that they revive once injured. Spamming jutsu at them would be wasting time and chakra he didn't have
