My shortest theory to date. But it stemmed from what was happening in Dressrosa
What if the DF were regular Fruits made by man. The people who designed it made it with no power inside. They designed the Fruit to adapt and copy everything thus gaining its power. And because of man's greed it is called the DF Fruit.
1)Logia-Natural disasters or occurence destroying the DF
Example-Fruit destroyed by earth quake so it respawned as the Quake Quake DF
Fruit destoyed by Magma so it respawned as the Magu Magu DF
Fruit destroyed by Light so it repawned as the Pika Pika
2Paramecia-Granted the users wish(Thats why paramecia emcompass a wide range of stuff)
Example-Fruit eaten by a user who wished to become the best surgeon so it respawned as the Ope Ope
Fruit eaten by a woman who wanted to lose weight so respawded was the Kilo Kilo
Fruit was eaten by a man who wished he could stretch to get things respawded was
3)Zoans-Fruits were eaten by animal
Example-Fruit was aten by a lion and a lion DF respawnded
Fruit was eaten by a phoenix and then the DF respawded
Fruit was eaten by a tiger then the Tiger DF respawnded
My opinion is the people who made the the original Fruits designed it with a Devil inside but the devil didn't get his identity until the things I listed here happened. The reason why I made this theory is because I feel artificial DF are made with the same concept. If you notice on Dressrosa it is loaded with animals why would animals be needed if that weren't the case. To be Caesar isn't important because of his DF but because of his knowledge

Why is the weakness of the DF water?
I definetly don't have an answer for this. But if I had to guess it is similar to Adam and Eve.The people who designed the origninal Fruit forsaw man's greed for power. And they decided to take away what man loved best and in the case of a pirate manga thats the sea
Why is momo a Draggon and Dragons don't exist no more for them to make a DF from it
Vegapunk made Momo's DF and I'm sure he has real mythical Dragons or animals in his lab. We have seen atleast 2 of Vegapunks Dragon
What is the weakness of Artificial DF's
It follows the same concept as real DF. Man's greed for power is the weakness of artificial DF's and I feel they don't drown but they can be control by man. Meaning Doffy has control over Kaido's army any time he wants. And thats why he wanted to stay in business with Kaido to take him out.
Sidenote:Having a hard time uploading pictures but let me no what you think of it or how you think DF's were made because I really don't think people designed the power that the DF has because its just to much for the brian.
