That scan has no importance to me what so ever. Kamui's speed is enough to fool Madara and Obito. Gai will wrapped just as the match starts.

No, i am picturing as Kishimoto would write it in the manga. Kakashi is aware that Gai is dangerous to fight during 8th gate opening. He is not stupid to make the fight too long. He is intelligent, and will make use of his Kamui to snipe him off right away.

Kakashi admitted Gai is only stronger when opening 8th gate, where Gai has to actually to finally defeat Kakashi.

That would imply that he can survive Asakujaku or an in-your-face Hirudora like the one madara blocked with the black staff. I would be interested in reading that now.

Starting in gates is considered prep, if anything the OP needs to state that he starts in gates . he isn't using gates and Asakujaku before Kakashi Kamui's him .
