That's an interesting one.

Yeah, Naruto probably would have gotten completely overtaken there but Sasuke has Zetsu with him. Chances are, Obito would have had Sasuke flee since he wanted Sasuke to capture the Kyuubi rather than capture it himself like he could have easily done. After such an incident, if Sasuke were to die as well, Naruto might have just given up hope himself.

That actually sounds pretty cool, I can see how people would believe that at first to due to the misleading timeline and different personalities and masks Tobi possessed. It would have been as if Tobi was merely a representative of those who believed in the IT plan.

Yeah. That basically summed it up.

Basically, everyone's theories on tobi's identity were correct as there were 5 tobis throughout history.

Madara Uchiha who recruited Kisame
Kagami who fought Minato
Shisui who was in Akatsuki
and Obito who led the war

or something like that.

It was a great theory as it made sense due to the difference in fighting styles (chains against Minato and War Fans in the War) and different mask designs.
