The difference between Gates and the random Aura

I've noticed the random Aura Gai has around him has been confused with Gates
Just to clear things up, it's not Gates.

This is the random aura I'm talking about

Now if that was truly the aura, why then did he open the 6th gates afterwards?

He was already surrounded by the blue aura, so I believe it's clear he wasn't using Gates already

I'm sure we saw the same happen against Madara as well

Notice Minato was also talking to Gai at first

Then afterwards when Gai opened the 7th, he said he didn't know Gai could open the gates even after seeing Gai with his aura

Meanwhile, when he's using the gates they are not shown

It's sweat so if Gai's been using the Seventh Gate and then down powers to the Fifth Gate for a while, the aura continues.

The guy says it's from sweat. Just because he came out of gates his body isn't instantly cool again. It has to cool down by sweating and like anyone who's run knows, it takes a while to cooldown after running.

I can't say you're 100% correct but I somewhat agree with you..although I doubt that's correct

Thanks for clearing it up. I thought the aura was him in gates mode and he didn't show the missing iris and pupil and red skin because he mastered the Gates to the point he doesn't show increased blood flow which makes the skin red and perhaps loses the iris and pupil. So what is the aura? Just him increasing his power to the point of making the sweat aura or is it chakra.
