Homura and Koharu are butt heads for ordering Tsunade around, but that's about the only thing I blame them for, so nah, not really. They aren't as contradictory as Danzou and actually care about everyone in the village. They had no control over Danzou or the Uchiha's actions. They wanting to keep Naruto in the village was a bit logical considering he falling into Akatsuki's hands would have strengthened them and weakened the village. I think they thought that since they were still around and were Hiruzen's former teammates and advisers that they were obligated to preserve his ideals and memory, but let their fear rule them. They aren't the best people in the world but there were far worse in Akatsuki.

Itachi carried out this genocide for a reason. The Uchiha are at fault here, there's no way of sugarcoating it or making excuses in their favor. I think that's like the whole point of this manga you know...

An uchiha was behind the attack... Only a sharingan can control the kyuubi, the elders were right to be wary of the clan. In times of terrorism, what you know as freedom goes out the window for the sake of your safety. Whether a group has to be surveilled for the sake of the many, well that's what it takes.

Take your idealist views and shove it, pragmatism is what the world needs. This is why people hate Machiavelli, cause he was a realist and knew what needed to be done.

I think that Naruto will deal with them when he becomes hokage. I think he forces them out, and replaces their position with Tsunade and Kakashi. The Uchiha were guilty of trying to forcefully overthrow the regime, which they only did for concern out of their well being, not even bothering to think of the well being of the village. Hiruzen, Danzo, and the two elders are guilty of mass murder, and will be dealt with accordingly by Naruto.

The Uchiha were planning a coup, that's treason and is punishable by death.

People need to stop blaming everyone else for the Uchiha.

He carried it out for 2 reason..

- Prevent Obito's attack

- Save atleast 1 uchiha

However, he later regrets his actions.. so using Itachi as an justifiable excuse really doesn't help.

Neither of those are true.

Here are the two reasons:

1. Prevent the Uchihas' civil war which would had likely led to other villages taking advantage of Konoha's weakened state and wipe it off the map.

2. Save Sasuke.
