=D Judging by Indra Mangekyō or particular Doujutsu his eye has a great potential of being a strong Genjutsu eye.

The swirls within the eyes insinuate clues of Genjutsu possibly existing.

The eye is almost like a red unfinished Rinnegan as seen here:

But it might be related to the Rinnegan. The only difference between the two is that they both share different colors and the swirls are both different.

Other Abilities of the eye can be possibility of being able to summon Perfect Susanoo. Another technique can be the possibility to be able to bring forth telekinesis but that is just a theory even though it's not too far-fetched. Indra Doujutsu can possibly be a weakened version of the Rinnegan.

Since we've seen him using MS abilities and having it and normal Sharingan, it's probably just the pattern for his MS. The pattern on the MS doesn't mean anything, or i would say sasuke can controll atoms and Shisui can shoot Shuriken from his eyes.
Obviously that's not true. Fun fact: Obito can shoot shuriken from his eyes.
