Many people on NB say Gai needs to open 8th gate to beat Tsunade. I disagree. Might Gai doesn't even need 7th gate to beat Tsunade.

We know that ABC logic doesn't work too well in Naruto. But Might Gai is is above the sannin in my opinion.

First of all, lets start with Itachi Uchiha.

Itachi completely humiliated Orochimaru with 3 tomoe sharingan.

But Itachi had to activate his Mangekyou Sharingan when Kisame provoked him

Which means Kisame posed far more threat to Itachi than Orochimaru.

It's arguable that Orochimaru is the strongest among the sannin. If not, Jiraiya isn't much stronger than him.


While Itachi had complete disregard for Oro, he highly esteemed Gai during their confrontation.

Now, people say that Might Gai could not kill Kisame in their final fight. But people forget that Gai was at disadvantage against Kisame. Kisame is perhaps the strongest water style user in Naruto, and Gai was still owning Kisame at Kisame's home turf. It's like winning against Gaara in a desert. Not many shinobi can beat Gaara in a desert. Same goes for Kisame in a lake.

Gai did this to Kisame with Morning Tiger.

Don't also forget, Kisame took on the likes of Killer Bee, a perfect jinchuriki, and beat him. The same Killer Bee owned MS Sasuke before Hebi members interfered in that fight

Kisame's chakra is perhaps greater than Tsunade. He's called the 'tailless bijuu' for no reason. Tsunade's byakogou isn't gonna help her in a fight against Gai.

Tsunade can't even hope to touch Gai. Asakujakuu barrage would overwhelm her sooner or later. 8th Gate absolutely murders her even at worst case scenario for Gai.

The thread was put together well but highly unnecessary since it's operating on false premises.

The difference between Kisame and Tsunade is that Byakugou will save Tsunade from what would take out Kisame. Gai can't hope to beat her in byakugou mode when his gates are always one big attack and then he's exhausted.

Gai is beating her with 7 gates minimum and even then victory is not sure. because she can tank afternoon tiger. His only option is to go at it to wear her down.

Also to people saying she can't hit him, he has a slow period between the higher gates. And Tsunade is not too slow to close in on a already close ranged fighter who will be fighting her close range.

Gai can never beat byakugou Tsunade with anything less than high diff.

Actually Tsunade has a good chance of winning against Gai 6th Gate, because of her healing ability. Did you guys forget Tsunade can regenerate? 6th Gate Gai goes and pounds Tsunade, but Tsunade regenerates and summons her slug. Gai gets the after effects of the 8th Gates while Tsunade's slug kills him. So, yea Tsunade>6th Gate Gai.

I don't know if 7th gate Gai can beat Itachi, but he has a good change considering Itachi's low stamina; amaterasu will be dodged, susanoo can't be put up for long, Gai shouldn't be affected by Tsukoyomi as he doesn't look in the eyes of sharingan users. It should be a close fight.

Gai is obviously a high kage level shinobi

Why everyone think Tsunade is slow in speed? Her speed was compared to the Third Raikage's by Madara. The Third Raikage has his Raiton Armor and Body Flicker. How can you compare that?

Forget Tsunade, even Oro will be beaten to pulp by Gai. Tsunade can push the battle to mid difficulty with the aid of Katsuyu. Take out Katsuyu, she's fodderized.

If Tsunade can beat Gai, she can also beat MS Sasuke, Kisame and Killer Bee. Check my scans above
