I know it was a filler, but I'm viewing these latest episodes as canon since they are by Kishi and were following parallel with things we were told in the manga


Hiruzen gave Danzo the idea to take Shisui's eyes, remember when he said "Don't you remember our friend Kagami Uchiha?" "Yes I do, his eye techniques saved me many times..." Danzo got the idea then and took his friend's son's eye

Hiruzen has foreknowledge of coming events. So he planted this idea within Danzo (Inception style) so the continuity wouldn't be ruined. Rikuzen can do that. Believe in the Hype! (Hiruzen 5 Leggo)

Bar the underlined part, he said almost exactly that. Danzo had knowledge of everyone in the Leaf, it's his job, he knows that Kagami was a badass, and then Hiruzen flaunts his son in front of Danzo saying "Look who I got on the job, *****" Of course Danzo will then have the idea to take his eyes, it helps him, and ****s Hiruzen, thats a danzo situation
