so "the air created a tornado which made his staff bend like rubber" is your explanation, but traveling at relativistic speeds isn't?

It didn't bend like rubber. It just got bent. Just because the staff is solid, doesn't mean it can't bend.

I don't think thats true. Based on the assumption that the space was infact twisted (as said by mangapanda, so i'm within reasonable bounds) i'm correct

MP also stated Gai used Night Moth. And that Naruto was going to use Wind Cutting Technique against Obito/Madara and the Juubi.

You're wrong, until proven otherwise.

why can no one ever use scientific notation for these math calculations? Jeez, do you really expect people to count all those digits?

As we saw in the most recent chapter of the manga, Gai kicked so hard that the space-time area in front of him was bending.

This means that he was traveling at relativistic speed.

According to scientific experimentation, relativistic speeds are (within 1% certainty) 1/10th of the speed of light. The speed of light is about 300,000,000 meters per second. 671,081,000 miles per hour.

1 tenth of this is 30 million.

So Gai was traveling AT LEAST 30 million meters per second.

We know that Gai weights 75 kg (a weight of 165.347 pounds).

Momentum is equal to Velocity*Mass. 75kg*30,000,000 m/s = 2.25 BILLION (kg*m)/s

Simple physics dictates the impulse is equal to momentum. Impulse is Force times the time of impact.

Regrettably, we can't say for sure what the time of impact is (we'll explain how to estimate it in a few minutes).

If we WERE able to find this number, dividing our 2.25 billion by this time gives us the force of Gai's kick.

This allows us to do some REALLY cool things.

1) Dividing our number by the surface area of the bottom of gai's foot (the average adult male foot has a surface area of about 100 cm squared) gives us the pressure (force per square centimeter can easily be converted into psi) of Gai's kick on madara's chest.

2) If we instead divide our "number" by the distance gais foot presses into madara's chest, we can find the work done by Gai. Work is measured in Joules.

3) By taking the work done, and dividing by our estimated time value (which we'll do in a second), we can find out the power of guy's kick. Power is measured in watts.

So lets go ahead and estimate the time of impact. Assuming that gai's foot doesn't slow down at all after impacting madara, and by assuming that gai's foot indents about 7 centimeters into him (review the latest chapter to confirm this measurement), we can find the time interval. The time of impact is approximately .0000000023 seconds.

Taking that figure and plugging it back in above, we get the following numbers

The force of Gai's kick, is 978260869565217400 newtons

The pressure per square centimeter of Gai's kick is 9782608695652174 newtons per centimeter squared (which is 14188474369565220 psi)

The work Gai's kick did is 13975155279503110000 joules of work (joules being a unit of energy).

And finally, the amount of power done by Gai's kick is:

6076154469349176000000000000 (N*m2)/s3 or Watts of power (watt seconds for our purposes).

Considering that the sun produces 3000000000000000000000000000 kilowatt hours, which is 3000000000000000000000000000000 watt hours, which is 833333333333333333333333333 watt seconds,

MEANING THAT GAI'S KICK HAD 7.29138536322 THE POWER OF THE SUN.

Kishi messed up when he made time-space bend around gai.

Awesome maths ^^

The most powerful kick in NV. That's for sure.

Guy could bent the air with the 6th Gate, so I believe he bent space

I felt the same way when reading this.

OT: Nice calculations nonetheless. However, I am not sure whether Madara really said "distorting space." Because as the others said, MS has a different translation.

That's...... absurdly powerful. I don't even think DBZ characters are capable of this.

Lol this calculation is so wrong. Any meteor bigger than 1km in diameter travelling at 30km/s has a momentum of about 30,000 trillion kgm/s. And then you're comparing a momentum far smaller than that to the energy of the sun? Please go learn physics.

lol @ the ppl saying that WIND bent a staff around madara's hand.

why didn't it snap? or is madara's staff made of rubber?

Listen to what you said. traveling 30,000 meters per second. Thats insanely fast. that IS a momentum in the trillions. Also the sun doesn't put out as much energy as you'd think. If you think i'm wrong, instead of just saying "its wrong", find the flaw in my calculations. Fine an inaccurate equation or a wrong piece of data. THEN tell me i need to learn physics.

Where did you get this from?

And also, why are you trying to display the final result in watts? There is something called the joules to megatons of TNT explosive converter. It's much simpler and more accurate than what you did.

Input 13975155279503110000 J to the converter and we get about 3.3 gigatons. 3.3 gigatons is only island level, which means that your calculation is an extreme low end since Juubi/Juubi jins have shown to be able to take no damage from attacks that carry exatons worth of explosive energy.

Because joules is energy and watts isn't? And I already said in the thread that i was estimating for that part

Lol, what kind of Maths is this? Full of fallacy. The op is estimating without actually looking at the panels.

You must be registered for see images

The right picture shows the impact of Night Gai. The left picture gives a better view over the whole area. With this comparison, we can say Night Gai's power level is 279,3244. The reason for that, is the smoke being comparable to mountain size. 100% Kurama itself is 279,3244. So Night Gai power level is around the radius of 100% Kurama.

Ok I will show you how it is wrong.

KE= 1/2mv^2

In this case: 1/2 x 75kg x 30,000,000^2 (m/s) (taking your number) = 3.375 x 10^16 joules.

Watt is joules per second.

The sun has a wattage of 3.826 x 10^26 Watts. That means it is putting out 3.826 x +10^26 joules every second.

Lets say Gai's whole move takes exactly 1 second (big assumption but hey lets just go with it)

That means Gai's attack had a power outage of 8.8 x 10^-9 % of the power of the sun or 0.0000000088%

The cheeky f*cker even had the cheek to neg rep me when I said he was wrong.
