"Borrow power" is either from sasuke or itachi. If you say its sasuke's power, its not borrowed. If you say its itachi's power, its borrowed. The eyes were itachi's, no doubt at all, but ems power is itachi's power, that's really questionable

Sasuke have to at least show itachi's sword, mirror or same level of tsukuyumi in order for "borrow power argument"to be arguable

If so, then Naruto borrowed a lot of power from sasuke too. If sasuke didn't show his superiority in part 1. Naruto wouldn't be motivated so much and be this strong base on manga

Sasuke was meant to reach a level superior to Itachi the moment he was introduced. Both Obito and Orochimaru stated that his eyes were more powerful and his powers have only grown. Even Kurama compared him to Madara. OP is correct.
