Madara decided to become mortal again let's be honest he was bad ass while being Edo then he is right now, think about it he got owned by Might Gai and if the alliance were smart they could continue on with their attacks and gang up on him, Madara really doesn't have many partners to aid him at this moment other then Spiral Zetsu but he is about to get owned by the Third hokage. Now with Naruto and Sasuke power up Madara most likely doesn't stand a chance in his current condition I think their wasn't enough bad ass villains to begin with anyways. I however think that since Sasuke and Naruto are suppose to battle Sasuke might possibly turn on the alliance after they defeat Madara.

Its as I stated before Madara has no help other then Spiral Zetsu he is basically alone in this war to defend himself there are still alot of strong shinobi's on the field that can sneak attack Madara if honesly Kabuto and Orochimaru could finish this war if they wanted too but of course Kishi wouldn't allow such a thing to happen.
