Deus ex machina from Latin, meaning "god from the machine") is a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly resolved by the contrived and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability or object. Depending on how it is done, it can be intended to move the story forward when the writer has "painted themself into a corner" and sees no other way out, to surprise the audience, to bring the tale to a happy ending, or as a comedic device.

I'd prefer something like B using some of his chakra to save Naruto and Kabuto saving Sasuke. At least use characters who have been well established! This is a climax! You can't just introduce new ideas and characters that don't make sense in the narrative as it's been told.

Well aside from that, my problem with him is he seems to offer no true resolution to the curse (karma) of the stolen power of chakra, in Buddhism: "one cannot steal for good, one can only keep for evil" he seems contented to have Madara defeated and the Tree cut down without making any real reparations to the Shinju.

As misguided as Madara is, he is right: as long as humanity has that stolen power, the taint of the karma of Kaguya's original sin will loom perpetually in their world, and the cycle of suffering will continue.

If it can be predicted a dozen chapters beforehand by members on Narutobase, it's not Deus Ex Machina.

Give a monkey a keyboard and enough time, and he'll unknowingly produce shakespeare after a lot of botched tries. Sure, one or two people may have "predicted" this. But there isn't any real basis in the manga that would imply that the Sage would come back from the dead and save Naruto and Sasuke. Frankly, there were more sound and better ways to bring them back. The only issue is that they weren't strong enough to beat Madara. So they had to come out of nowhere with this bullshit "twist" that saves the day. In this case, the Sage is literally a God from the Machine. This is the epitomy of the bad writing in the recent arcs.

Remove Chakra and replace it with kunai and swords, and you have the same issue on a smaller scale. Take away weapons, and you have your fists. The cycle can never end.

Chakra transference was already an established fact and Naruto being the reincarnation of the Sage/Ashura was already an established fact. You had to have seen this coming at some point.

I'm sorry if you didn't, but most people did. Not the 1 or 2 you claim.

Bullshit. Ashura was the ancestor of the Senju and the Uzumaki. That's all that was established. Chakra transference in the way that the Sage has brought about and the whole concept of reincarnation were described by the Sage. That was half the reason he was introduced! He had to explain new concepts to explain his appearance. This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't during the conclusion of the whole ****ing story! You can't bring up new concepts in the climax, it's writing 101.

I'm telling it as it is here.

Everyone and their grandma knew Naruto would meet the sage for upwards of 100+ chapters, or roughly 2 years excluding week-long breaks and holidays.

Ever since the Bijuu confirmed Naruto to be the reincarnation of the Sage. It only took a dozen or so more chapters for the theories to sprout surrounding the Sage's chakra transference (as Minato and Kushina had already done dozens of chapters ago) being the medium for the meeting place between the two.

If anything, Kishi is filling in the missing pieces, not introducing new concepts.

But the point Chakra is still an Outer Path power, it is relying on an external power to achieve enlightenment, which in Naruto is simplified by the term peace, it is heretical and a false path which is the antithesis of the Inner Path which is the true path to enlightenment/peace, added the fact that it's stolen, that only leads to a downward karmic spiral.

But Naruto isn't the reincarnation of the sage. As you explained, and as the Sage explained, Naruto is actually his son. New concept. The idea that chakra goes from generation to generation, and can influence cells (Hashimara's), is a new concept.

And you're going to have to link me to these discussions. I'm on this site pretty often, and I haven't heard much talk at all about he Sage of Six paths prior to his reappearance in the manga. And the whole concept of chakra transference was, once again, not even brought up in the manga (which really, is the important part) until the sage explained it.
