And by that, I mean back to Part 1 days where he was an uptight jerk type character, but not evil as opposed to Taka days.

Logically thinking, Sasuke gave an answer that Hagoromo approved of. I highly doubt that RS would entrust his power to someone morally ambiguous with shrouded intentions. And I feel like RS would know if Sasuke was lying or being disingenuous, which Sasuke has never been that type anyway.

And, of course, the possibility of Sasuke completing Gai's revival by adding his Yin Release to Naruto's Yang Release (theory compliments of slimreaper and Gein) for a combination saving of his life.

Now, none of this necessitates Sasuke becoming how he was, I'm just merely putting it out there. Which Sasuke would you prefer? Vote please.

He has like no choice. If he decides to destroy the village, Then he'll die. Sasuke and Naruto are equal but Naruto has a whole village behind him plus his on par strength with Sasuke.

Hagoromo gave his power to Sasuke because he doesn't want to make the same mistake he did last time with only choosing one of the brothers which started the conflict between his sons that's still going on today. Now whatever Sasuke chooses to do with that power is up to him.

Sasuke is now a combination of his Hebi period and Part 1. I couldn't be happier honestly. I prefer this Sasuke over the 'evil' one.

Well, he never said he would kill Naruto after the war, and his dying thoughts pretty much confirmed his intention to protect Konoha and continue Itachi's legacy, so yeah.

Evil is a matter of perspective. Whoever thinks that Konoha doesn't deserve its cruel fate is well off the right mark. Sasuke would have been a hero for all those wronged by this establishment. The term heroism, isn't isolated to Villages - it has many connotations and denotations. Its really a simple matter of where the perspective lies for Heroism and Villainy. Some people would view Sasuke as a Hero had he destroyed Konoha and others wouldn't have.

I seriously doubt Naruto would have killed Sasuke had he even destroyed Konoha. His adoration for Sasuke is literally boundless, which is why his entire life endeavours circle around him - he's his core motivator and his metaphorical saviour. As for the question, then Sasuke was never evil to begin with. Kishimoto states that he's 'Pure' - a concept beyond human good and evil concepts. The author has basically deified him metaphorically, as he does - as Kishimoto states - what is right and stands by his convictions, even if it means defying an entire political set up.

That takes strength in character and a certain honor.
