I mean, he's basically all crumbly and baked right now. Then Naruto done gone and put some life back into him. Chances are he's going to be like that until someone heals him if they can. But who knows maybe Naruto's symbol thingy will do all of that for him next chapter.

Just throwing this out here, in my opinion this would have been a very good death for Gai and with a good purpose. When characters have build up for very good deaths and live well we know for sure gai won't be dying again. This also makes the hype of the 8th gate kind of anti climactic.

Does anyone think he will be able to fight ever again if he lives this?

Honestly, I think he lost consciousness the moment his kick connected. If not, he's not feeling anything due to everything in his body either being torn, burned, or both.
