Did you undestimate Might Guy?/

Might Guy who was supposed to be Kakashi's rival was never rated that highly. He could only use taijutsu yet he always kept up and never disappointed. Even after soloing Kisame people didn't give him the credit he deserved. Kisame was one of the strongest in Akatsuki if you don't include Itachi, Pein, and Obito. In fact Gai fought off Edo Madara virtually by himself for a little while. Later after opening the 8th on he broke Juubi Madara's rib. He beat Kisame where Bee failed, and broke Madara's rib when Kakashi, and Yondaime couldn't even touch Madara. The 5 kages couldn't even do against a weaker Madara that Gai knocked down.

I feel like Gia has never been underrated. From my understanding he's been a fan favorite since the beginning of naruto. But ya he is hella strong and it looks like he's not gonna die just yet.

I never did cause looking at it closely, he has a very distinctive power and also very special so i knew it would come into use and be needed at a point in time

No, not Guy, but I did underestimate Lee. The hype over the 8 Gates and his constant training led me to suspect there was more than meets the eye, but I wasn't sure if he would be hyped and live up to it, but he did. Madara acknowledged him and Kakashi indirectly admitted he was stronger.

I was one of the scarce few who didn't underestimate him. most people thought way back that the 8th gate wouldn't even be able to beat PS, and here he is smacking juubidara around like a ragdoll, and almost killing him.

That I agree with. It was hyped and I suspected it would be used in the final fight, but the power from it and the more than one attack I did not expect.
